Mississippi Counseling Associates is committed to protecting our clients and therapists against COVID-19. We understand that we are in unprecedented times, and at such a time as this the need for mental well-being is of utmost importance.

Therefore, we are expanding our services to telehealth for the foreseeable future in order to provide ongoing care for our community in this difficult time. As of right now, the use of telehealth is not mandatory, however it is considered a good precaution for those who are at a higher risk of infection.

The use of face-to-face therapy will be up to the discretion of each client and therapist.

MCA will be using strict time limits (45-50 min) for sessions and staggering clients who wish to use face-to-face therapy in order to minimize traffic in the office, as well as allow ample time to sanitize office furniture between sessions. We also ask for clients to only use the assigned chairs in the waiting room to make sanitization easier and more effective.

We are asking clients and therapists with the following conditions to use telehealth services rather than face to face meetings.

  •  Fever (above 99.5)
  •  Cough
  •  Shortness of Breath
  •  Recent Travel

Client’s who wish to attend a face to face meeting may be asked to comply with the following:

  • Temperature check
  • Hand Washing
  •  No Physical Contact
